The School of Law’s objective is to nurture internationally-competitive, Christian jurists who stand on God’s love, justice and law of peace to accommodate the newly growing importance of law in the wave of democratization and globalization. In addition to the Korean law major, a program for international law focused on U.S. law has been established and specialized in order to cultivate ‘Lawyers without Borders’ ready to solve complex legal issues concerning various other countries and nationalities, in order to contribute to international human rights.
Curriculum
Composed of Public Law and Private Law majors, the School of Law nurtures a deep understanding and critical thinking of law by reinforcing foundational legal theory and also emphasizing the ability to apply this legal theory in practice through case oriented studies. The U.S. and International Law (UIL) track, which is conducted exclusively in English, covers basic knowledge of U.S. politics, economy, society, and culture while offering various law courses in preparation for law school to assist students aspiring to become active members of the international law society.
Career Prospects
There are various career choices for a law major: entering the legal profession and become a judge, prosecutor, attorney, or other legal worker by taking the national exam; working as a civil servant in the government administrative department; entering different companies in business, finance, or media; or continuing on to graduate school for further studies.
