Handong Global University (President Soon-Heung Chang) have signed an Agreement on Cooperative Support with Korean World Mission Fellowship (KWMF).
The ceremony that was held at Kolon Hotel in Gyeongju, on November 27, 2019, was attended by HGU President Soon-Heung Chang, KWMF Chairman Keun-Bong Choi and other members of the two institutions.
With this Agreement, the two institution have agreed to the following items: Co-hosting and co-leading of the Korean World Mission Conference and its supporting programs; Cooperation in the possible fields, including but not limited to Contents, Technology, Education, Research, Human Resources, and others; Exchange of necessary information and data; Cooperation in the use of facilities and other necessary items that will be actively pushed forward.
Especially HGU and KWMF, per this agreement of co-hosting Korean World Mission Conference 2020, will host this Conference from July 6 ~ July 9, 2020 at Handong Global University. This Korean World Mission Conference that occurs every 4 years is a place where Korean missionaries that are all over the world comes together in one place to build up the enthusiasm for missions. This event will be held for the first time in South Korea this year.
Through 2020 Korean World Mission Conference, Handong Global University will firmly establish its position as a Global University by supporting 28,000 missionaries and their children all over the world.

President Soon-Heung Chang of HGU said, “Handong Global University, through this Agreement, will not forget our heavy responsibility as a Missional University, by being able to support our students with an identity as a missional school, and serve as a bridge to serve 28,000 missionaries as well.”
Chairman Keun-Bong Choi of KWMF said, “Korean World Mission Conference that have been held only in United States thus far will occur for the first time in South Korea in 44 years.” He also said, “For this event, the signing ceremony between HGU and 28,000 Korean missionaries around the world marks a significant first step in history to allow the two parties to change the world.”
