(Picture 1) At the next-generation Missionary Conference, Mrs. Young-Ae Kim is giving a lecture on the "start of Handong missionary work."
From the June 30th ~ July 1st, 2020, Handong Global University (President Soon-Heung Chang) held the "Next Generation Missionary Conference" at the Handong Global University’s Kim Young-Gil GRACE School. 120 people attended the event, including sons and daughters of missionaries and pastors.
The conference was held under the theme, "Those who will continue the unfinished work," and was aimed to encourage young people to live out the missionary obligation.
In this conference, missionary Eun-Yong Lee, Secretary-General of the Korean World Missionary Society, explained the importance of the missions of missionaries with the theme of "The Missionary Obligation of Christ," and In-Sun Kim, Secretary-General of the Korea World Missionary Support Foundation, gave lectures on "The Flow of Korean Missions," and Min-Ho Ma, Professor at Handong Global University, gave lectures on the topic of "The Missionary Obligation of Handong Global University."
In addition, lectures by regions such as Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, etc. and lectures by subjects such as "International Development Cooperation Business and Missions" and "Architecture and Missions", etc. were provided so that participants could freely choose and listen. While the network was being constructed, Mrs. Young-Ae Kim and Professor Won-Chul Cho of Handong Global University gave a lecture on the "Start of Handong’s Unfinished Missionary Work." After the lecture, there was a time to build a human network where participants met with graduate students.
President Soon-Heung Chang said in the opening speech, "It is a great honor to hold Handong Global University's Next-Generation Missionary Conference, marking the 25th anniversary of the opening of Handong Global University and the 1st memorial of the late President Young-Gil Kim. I hope the passionate fire of missionary work will burn again through the young people of Handong Global University."
The Next-Generation Missionary Conference team who hosted this event said, "The time in preparing for this event was a very happy one. We hope that the young people who participated in the conference will continue the unfinished work together and fulfill their missionary obligation."
