On 15th of September, 2020, Handong Global University (President Soon-Heung Chang) awarded the Honorary Doctorate Degree of Law and certificate of appreciation from Gyeongsangbuk-do Province to H.E. Chaim Choshen, the ambassador of Israel to South Korea at Grace Hall of Handong Global University’s Kim Young-Gil GRACE School.

The awarding of Honorary Doctorate Degree of Law is to recognize his diplomatic contribution and dedication in seeking improved international relation and academic cooperation.
Governor Cheol-Woo Lee of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province started by awarding the certificate of appreciation. The event was followed by Honorary Doctorate Degree presentation, recommendation speech for nomination and at last, award acceptance speech given by Ambassador H.E. Chaim Chosen.

President Soon-Heung Chang of Handong Global University said, “It’s an honor to have the ambassador Chaim Choshen, who is working closely to improve international relations between the two countries, that being South Korea and Israel, as a Honorary Doctorate Degree recipient of Handong Global University,” and added, “Thanks to the increased exchange programs between Handong Global University and universities in Israel, Handong Global University was able to implement creative entrepreneurial education programs for students to learn go-to sprit and pro-active attitudes during their visit to Israel.”
