On February 19th, Handong Global University (President Soon-Heung Chang) held the 23rd Graduation Ceremony for the class of 2020 online through YouTube and Zoom.
At the ceremony, 825 undergraduate, 145 graduate, and 7 doctoral students received a total of 977 degrees.
To comply with the COVID-19 social distancing regulations, the graduation ceremony was held with a small number of people, including President Soon-Heung Chang and the graduate awardees, and was broadcasted live online.

Handong Global University also sent degree certificates to degree conferees by mail and provided graduation robes and caps on different dates for each department so that souvenir photos could be taken.
President Soon-Heung Chang said, “It is very unfortunate that we could not greet each of the graduates face-to-face as a result of holding the graduation ceremony online due to COVID-19. I hope that the graduating students will further develop into high-tech, high-touch individuals with talent and problem-solving capabilities so that they may serve their neighbors, embrace the world, as well as their local communities, and make the world a little brighter place.”
In total, Handong Global University has produced 14,698 undergraduate, 2,244 graduate, and 27 doctoral students since its establishment in 1995.
