Handong Global University (President Soon-Heung Chang)'s Graduate School of Education has become a school certified for ‘IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme) Teacher Training Course.’

By this, Handong Graduate School of Education is providing job opportunities at more than 5,000 schools with IBDP programs around the world for those who acquire a Korean middle and high school teacher certificate and complete the IBDP (High School Course) Teacher Course.

The IB curriculum includes Primary Years Program (PYP) of Elementary Education Course, Middle Years Program (MYP) of Middle School Course, High School Diploma Program (DP) of High School Course, and Career Program (CP) of Career Education Course for high school students.

Handong Graduate School of Education has been certified for the IBDP course (high school course) and has become the second certified graduate school for teacher certificate education of IB World School within Korea.

President Soon-Heung Chang of Handong Global University said, "The certification of IBDP teacher training course is the result of Handong Global University's various efforts and contributions toward globalization, and through this opportunity we expect the school can become an even more global university. I think it is more meaningful that we can contribute to Teacher Training amid the online global era that will accelerate more after COVID-19."

Also, the IB curriculum was established in 1968 and developed by the Geneva-based nonprofit International Education Foundation IBO, and more than 50 universities have adopted the IB curriculum at 5,000 schools around the world. Those who acquire the IB teacher certificates can be employed as IB World School high school teachers, international high school teachers, and more.
