From the 10th to the 13th, Handong Global University (President Soon-Heung Chang) held a real-time remote lecture on the ‘Innovation and Trends of Digital Technology in the Korean Economy’ for the MBA students of Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
On this day, Il Ho Yoo, former Deputy Prime Minister of Economy, Dr. Jeong Dae Seo of Small and Medium Business Research Institute, Professor Dae Shik Kim, School of Business and Economics at Handong Global University, Professor Jin Won Ahn, Professor Gyu Bong Cho, Professor Jeong Eui Hong, Professor Hee Tae Yang, Professor Sang Hwa Lee from the School of ICT and Entrepreneurship gave lectures.

A total of 91 students participated for four days and took lectures such as ‘Ecosystem of Korea’s Start-Up’, ‘Smart Factory in the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution’, ‘The Impact of Covid-19 on the Fintech Industry’, and ‘The Present and Future of the Korean Economy’. In addition, former Deputy Prime Minister of Economy Il Ho Yoo dealt with the history and formation process of economic policies and issues to be considered when proposing policies.
There are expectations regarding the digital transformation case of the Korean industry covered in this special lecture that will help Uzbekistan’s advancement of digital infrastructure and human resource development.
Meanwhile, the joint education course of Handong Global University and Uzbekistan has been conducting special lectures, seminars, thesis guidance, industrial tours, and management consulting in cooperation with the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship of Uzbekistan since 2014. Also, it is operated for middle managers of Uzbek public corporations to have the necessary intellectual competency to become professional managers for two years.
