The UNESCO Unit Twin Project Group of Handong Global University (President Soon-Heung Chang) held the ‘Global Leadership and Global Problem Solving Workshop for two days on the 14th and 15th.
This workshop was held both online and offline in the presence of about 60 students from Handong Global University and partner universities of developing countries.
In this workshop, Professor Bu Yeol Kim from Seoul National University and CEO of Mambo SawaSawa Do Wook Kang gave lectures on the awareness of global citizenship and the advancement of global leadership by exploring social issues in developing countries.
Students who participated in this workshop were also provided with basic background knowledge on international development cooperation and education to develop a stance on problem-solving through examples of poverty, sanitation, and health care in developing countries. Students practiced designing the matrix work through examples for improving the poor livestock industry in Viet Nam and the poverty rate in rural Cambodia.
Meanwhile, the UNESCO Unit Twin Project of Handong Global University is carrying out various cooperative education programs to strengthen the higher education capacity of partner universities in developing countries, such as enhancing entrepreneurship, training next-generation entrepreneurship, and joint education courses.
Moving forward, the school is planning to spur the development of global citizenship and educate the next generation of global leaders.
