-Acquired certification by meeting all criteria (Pass) with no unsatisfactory or failing to meet only one condition

Handong Global University (President Do Soung Choi) obtained accreditation by meeting all criteria with no conditional or non-fulfillment in the 2022 (second half) 3- cycle university institution evaluation accreditation conducted by the Korea University Accreditation Institute of the Korea University Education Council.

University institutional evaluation accreditation is a system implemented by the Korea University Accreditation Institute to induce continuous quality improvement of university education, enhance university education performance, and accountability, and secure international acceptance of higher education. By announcing the results to society, the quality of the university education is guaranteed, and social trust is granted as an educational institution.

The 3-cycle university institutional evaluation accreditation is determined by comprehensively evaluating matters related to university operation based on 5 evaluation areas and 30 evaluation criteria, including university philosophy and management, curriculum and learning, faculty and staff, student support and facilities, and university performance and social responsibility.

Handong Global University has been recognized domestically and internationally for fulfilling the requirements as a higher education institution by achieving the third consecutive certification with this accreditation following the last two cycles.

Meanwhile, Handong Global University is carrying out major government financial support projects such as the university innovation support project, the third-stage industry-academic cooperation leading university development project (LINC 3.0), and the fourth stage BK21 project. Also, it has received excellent external evaluation, such as being selected as a general financial support university in 2021 basic competency diagnosis, obtaining an ‘A’ grade for two consecutive years in the annual evaluation of the first-term university support project. In addition, Handong Global University was recognized as the recipient of 34^th Inchon Award (Education Sector) and the POSCO Cheongam Education Award for its achievement as a ‘University with Excellence in Education” that emphasizes intelligence, personality, and spirituality.
