Handong Global University, led by President Dosoung Choi, which has been at the forefront of innovative education with groundbreaking initiatives such as the non-major entrance system, is once again attempting a revolutionary educational innovation. Handong Global University has decided to collaborate with the globally renowned Minerva Project to jointly develop and implement an innovative integrated curriculum. To this end, Handong Global University and the Minerva Project signed a business agreement on May 29th.

The Minerva Project, initially introduced at Minerva University as its flagship partner, is renowned for its innovative educational curriculum characterized by a blended approach and active learning processes. Minerva University is considered a university of the future, completely departing from the traditional university framework. Although it lacks a physical campus, students reside in seven different cities worldwide and are nurtured into global talents while actively collaborating with local businesses in each city, which is a distinctive feature of the program.

Through this newly established agreement, both institutions have agreed to jointly develop and implement an innovative integrated liberal arts curriculum that fosters creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration (4C: Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration) skills. The curriculum will be delivered through mentoring and coaching methodologies that emphasize holistic, practical, and community-oriented education. Becky Hye-Kyung Park, Vice President for Academic Affairs of Handong Global University, expressed her anticipation for the collaboration, stating, "In the process of collaboration between two universities dedicated to educational innovation, we expect challenges and fruitful synergies. Through this partnership, we sincerely hope that students will develop the ability to identify and solve problems they are passionate about in the world."

Handong Global University, founded in 1995 with the educational philosophy of "Learn to Give," has been at the forefront of university education reforms. It introduced the non-major entrance system, breaking down the barriers between humanities and engineering. It has also implemented various innovative reforms such as the unsupervised conscience system, mandatory dormitory residency for all students, and the mentor professor system to promote community-oriented character education. Starting from its second year of establishment, the university has been recognized as an outstanding institution for educational reforms for three consecutive years, particularly in the areas of curriculum revision and improving educational and research efficiency. Handong Global University has been highly praised for opening new horizons in university education.
