On June 13th to 16th, as part of the UNESCO UNITWIN program, Handong Global University (President Dosoung Choi) collaborated with Jakarta International University at the Handong-ASEAN Start-up & Innovation Center in Indonesia to organize the "2023 NGET Startup Workshop in Indonesia," aimed at fostering Indonesian entrepreneurs.
Professor Sanghwa Lee from the School of Global Entrepreneurship and ICT at Handong Global University conducted a four-day theoretical and practical training program for over 50 faculty members and students from Jakarta International University. The workshop covered various topics, including business model design, target market research, case studies of successful business models, industry analysis, competitor analysis, customer analysis, and action plan development.
This workshop, in particular, serves as a follow-up initiative to the Next Generation Entrepreneurship Training Camp organized by Handong Global University's UNITWIN program in Indonesia in 2022. Prior to the workshop, Handong students conducted research on innovative domestic business ideas that can be implemented in Indonesia. The workshop aims to facilitate the development of feasible business ideas in collaboration with Indonesian students, with a focus on realizing these ideas locally.

He stated, "Through this workshop, we hope that more young people will be motivated to venture into entrepreneurship."
Jonathan Siregar, the instructor who participated in the workshop, expressed his impressions by saying, "During this workshop, the student team from Handong Global University had the opportunity to visit Jakarta International University, where they engaged in knowledge and experience exchange with local students. It was a meaningful time to understand the cultures of both countries and to discover entrepreneurial ideas that can address social issues in Indonesia."
Following this workshop, the Handong International Development Cooperation Center plans to continue providing entrepreneurship mentoring to students from Jakarta International University through the Handong UNITWIN program. This initiative aims to further promote the discovery of young entrepreneurs and foster their growth in Indonesia.
