-From November 22 to 23, Handong Global University collaborated with Jakarta International University as part of UNESCO UNITWIN project to host the Next Generation Entrepreneurship Training Workshop in Indonesia.
-Aimed at fostering the development of future entrepreneurs leading sustainable growth in Indonesia and the ASEAN region.

As part of the UNESCO UNITWIN project, Handong Global University (President Dosoung Choi) organized the '2023 Next Generation Entrepreneurship Training Workshop in Indonesia' in collaboration with Jakarta International University (JIU) at the Handong-ASEAN Start-up & Innovation Center in Indonesia from November 22 to 23.
The event targeted over 50 professors and students from Jakarta International University. Professors Beom Ha Ji and Hye Gyu Lee from the School of Management and Economics of Handong Global University, along with Professors Jeong Hwa Han and Sung Jin Choi from Hanyang University, and Dr. Eun Chang Choi from Impactive AI, participated as lecturers. The two-day workshop covered theoretical and practical education on topics such as △ Smart Entrepreneurship in the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution △ Entrepreneurial Mindset △ AI Innovation for Entrepreneurs. On the last day of the workshop, President Dosoung Choi of Handong Global University held a seminar on examples of higher education for local Indonesian teachers and students.
The workshop served as a follow-up to the Entrepreneurship Workshop in Indonesia hosted by Handong Global University's UNITWIN program in June. The objective is to evaluate and mentor potential entrepreneurial ideas of Indonesian students who have continuously received entrepreneurship education through the UNITWIN program. The aim is to help these students develop their ideas into viable business projects.

Agus Hartadi, President of JIU, expressed gratitude, saying, "Through the UNITWIN program with Handong Global University, we have strengthened the capabilities of many JIU faculty and students. Especially, President Dosoung Choi personally visited our university, delivering a lecture on Handong Global University's entrepreneurship education and talent development model, allowing JIU faculty to gain deeper insights into the direction of future higher education."
After this workshop, Handong International Development Cooperation Agency plans to continue mentoring Jakarta International University students through the Handong UNITWIN project, further promoting the discovery of young entrepreneurs.
UNESCO UNITWIN (UNIversity TWInning and Networking) is a program established by UNESCO in 1992 to support education and research institutions in developing countries through networks with universities in developed countries, aiming to reduce knowledge disparities and enhance the self-reliance of developing countries. Handong Global University was designated as the first UNITWIN coordinating university in Korea in 2007.
Handong Global University has actively pursued internationalization initiatives, including being the first university in Korea designated for OECD internship dispatch (2008), UN Academic Impact coordinating university designation (2011), UN donation library operation university designation (2014), UN NGO conference hosting university (2016), and the opening of the UNAI Ban Ki-moon Global Education Institute (IGE) in 2019.
