From January 29th (Monday) to February 5th (Monday), the UNESCO UNITWIN Office at Handong Global University (President Dosoung Choi) led by Director Jin Won Ahn conducted paper symposiums, special lectures, and supervised doctoral and master's student papers in collaboration with professors from Handong Global University, Hannam University, and Hanseong University. These activities took place at the Tashkent-based Banking and Finance Academy (BFA), Graduate School of Business and Economics (GSBE), and Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) in Uzbekistan.
During this visit to Uzbekistan, former Deputy Prime Minister Oh Seok Hyun gave a keynote speech and expert lectures on international economic trends and the situation of the Korean economy. The accompanying Korean professors paid special attention to explaining the relations between countries and the elements necessary for a market economy in Uzbekistan, where the transition to a market economy is underway but vigorous privatization has yet to be achieved. They also focused on broadening mutual understanding of research methodologies and the direction of Uzbekistan's economic reforms.

Expert lectures were also held on topics such as corporate capacity assessment, startups within universities, ESG reporting, and digital transformation. Professor Jae Young Lee's lecture on hydrogen conversion, given the current interest in the integration of renewable energy, green management, and digital transformation in Uzbekistan, received significant attention.
Local lectures and paper supervision involved professors from Handong Global University's School of Management and Economics, including Professor Beom Ha Ji and Hyeon Mo Sung, Professor Jae Young Lee from the School of Mechanical and Control Engineering, Professor Jong Woon Kim from Hannam University, and Professor Hyeong Yong Lee from Hanseong University. Professor Dae Yeon Cho from Handong Global University's School of Management and Economics and Professor Su Yeong Jang from Pohang University of Science and Technology participated online.
