Semester System

- HGU's academic year consists of two regular semesters.
Spring: March ~ June

Fall: September ~ Decemeber
- Each semester is 16 weeks long, including the midterm and final week.
- Exchange students may stay in HGU for up to 2 semesters given that there is prior agreement between HGU and the Home Institution.

Course Registration

- Almost all courses are open to exchange students, unless it is restricted by the professor for a specific reason (e.g. requirement of a prerequisite course).
- HGU offers about 160 English courses across a variety of majors. Click here to check the English course list.
- Korean language courses are available from Level 1 (beginner) to Level 4 (intermediate).
- Course registration is conducted online in January (for Spring Semester) and July (for Fall Semester). In-depth guidelines will be provided by OIA once confirmed as exchange students.

Class Schedule

- Each period is 1 hour and 15 minutes long, with 15 minutes of time between classes.
- Classes are generally conducted twice a week during the same period.
- On Wednesdays, students usually attend team meeting and chapel.
