Handong Spiritual Training (HanST) is a unique orientation event held at Handong Global University. It was started as a special tradition when the university was just founded. At that time, the senior students voluntarily planned events for the new students, and this tradition has continued to this day.
Over the past 20 years, HanST has evolved and become more abundant. It is now a week-long event that includes worship, vision, love from seniors, and encouragement from professors. HanST is a place for new students to meet Handong's culture for the first time and to make friends from all over the world.
In 2015, HanST was divided into two separate events: Korean HanST and International HanST (i-HanST). i-HanST is a unique orientation event that is different from the other university freshman orientations. It is a time for new students to learn about Handong culture, get information about how to live in Korea, and make friends from all over the world. i-HanST is a valuable experience that can help new students adjust to life at Handong and to make the most of their time at the university.
i-HanST is a week-long event that includes a variety of activities. These activities include worship, lectures, games, team-building exercises, and cultural experiences. i-HanST also includes a variety of talks and workshops from professors, seniors, and other experts.
Some of the events that take place during i-HanST include :
i-HanST is mandatory for all new students (including undergraduate, transfer, and exchange students) at Handong Global University. This includes both international and domestic students. i-HanST is a great opportunity for all new students to get to know Handong and to start building relationships with their peers.
