Handong Global University has a unique community system called Residential College (RC). There are currently six residential colleges and the 'international' one is called Carmichael RC. Most international students reside in the International Hall (more commonly known as iHouse), placed in rooms not only one another but also with Korean students.
Living Conditions
iHouse is very specially designed for students, who might struggle with adjusting to the Korean culture. As such, the dorm building includes a laundry room and a lounge on each floor. It also provides a community room (Koinonia) and a small kitchen, where residents gather, cook, and share their lives together through food and fellowship. Each room includes a shower stall and a toilet, and each student will have their own mattress, desk, chair, bookshelf, and closet. WiFi is provided free of charge in the dorms and throughout campus. Additionally, please note that Korea’s electrical socket supports Type C and Type F. Bedding is not provided; you must purchase it separately.
