Visa Extension
You can check the visa expiration date on the backside of the Alien Registration Card. Visa can be extended up to two months ahead of the visa expiration date, and only if you are currently in Korea.
Documents for Visa Extension
• For Undergraduate Full-time Students (Basic Requirements): Passport, Residence Card (ARC), Certificate of Enrollment, Certificate of Residence, 60,000 KRW
• For 9th or More Semester Enrolled Students: Basic Requirements + Tuition payment receipt, Dorm fee receipt, Statement of Reason*, Opinion of advising professor*, Bank statement (showing more than 4,500 USD for 6 months extension)
• For Students whose accumulated GPA is lower than 2.0: Basic Requirements + Tuition payment receipt, Dorm fee receipt, Statement of Reason*, Opinion of advising professor*, Bank statement (showing more than 4,500 USD for 6 months extension)
• For Exchange Students who stay one more semester (extension): Passport, Residence Card (ARC), Certificate of Program Extension
